Donate to those in need in the Tokai and Kirstenhof areas

Sellers in the Kirstenhof area often ask Seeff where they can donate goods when downscaling or moving on from their homes.

There are many opportunities for the local community of Tokai and Kirstenhof to make a difference to those in need. It is for example so easy to pop down to the Tears Charity Shop on Main Road in Tokai where their helpful staff will unload your donations of books, kitchen items, bedding, curtains and so on.

Their shop is thoughtfully laid out to appeal to their buying public. They also accept donations of cash paid directly into their bank account which you will receive an acknowledgement of. A Senior fundraiser at Tears told me they would not be able to do the wonderful work which they do with animal care and rescue without these shops and donations.

Another wonderful nearby charity is the marvellous St Luke's Hospice Shop where you can pick up wonderful items such as fine china among many other donations. You can contact St Luke's on 021 712 0843, email tokaishop@stlukes.co.za or find them near the Cattle Baron and CTM Tile Factory on Tokai Road. They are open from Monday to Thursday (9am to 4pm), Friday (9am to 5pm) and Saturday (8.30am to 12.30am) (closed on Sunday and Public Holidays).

Last, but not least, the wonderful work done by Kirstenhof's very own Barefoot Rescue which focuses on domestic and wild animal rescue, rehabilitation, education and advocacy with a focus on hand raising and medical fostering.
